Martin House Children's Hospice is an extraordinary charity that provides hospice care for children and young people across West, North and East Yorkshire. The charity provides care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. This care can be given in the family home or in their two houses: Martin House and Whitby Lodge.
Their mission is "to help children and young people with a life-limiting condition, along with their families, to live well and fully, offering the best possible end-of-life care and support to the family in bereavement."
From 2019 - 2023, Mathewsons has raised £6780 for this amazing charity and we are thrilled to be supporting them throughout 2024 too.
You will see one of the Martin House donation boxes at our gift shop in Thornton le Dale and you may see lots in our auctions being sold for charity. As our contribution, we waive our fees from these lots so that the charity receives 100% of the money raised.
