Chalrie's smashes his first closed road event

The weekend saw the team tackle the East Riding Stages Rally just down the road from us in Beverley.

 

We had a brilliant few days learning pace notes and the new car on tarmac. The recce on Saturday was a new and enjoyable experience too.

 

The rally on Sunday went really well having opted for the Mini Rally Challenge Toyo wet championship tyre which definately helped in the afternoon when the heavens opened and even better they are a full £35 pounds a corner!!!

 

A massive thanks to the main man Ian Bass for jumping into the silly seat. Top job.

 

A big thanks to Beverley & District Motor Club for the organisation of a brilliant event.

 

Thanks to all the marshalls and spectators who stood out in the wind and rain supporting the event.

 

All in all a fine days rallying in the little mini competing against some rally legends with a brilliant result to match, 77th overall out of 165 starters.

 

First round of the Mini Rally Challenge next at Anglesey Circuit / Trac Môn on the 11th April.
