A podium for Charlie at Weeton - Round 5 of English Championship

A great weekend saw us across in Blackpool for the 2024 Heroes stages at Weeton barracks!

 

After a not so good result back in 2022 we went into the rally with a clear head and a fresh start! Fastest on a very moist and slippy Ss1 gave us some good confidence to push on!!

 

Later on through the day the rain disappeared meaning we had a chance to drive the stages dry, we really enjoyed the stages and gelled with the car really well!! Fastest on Ss3,4,5,7,and 8 eventually gave us a 34 second advantage and full championship points F1000 Rally Club.

 

Big well done to Mac and Jonathan on 2nd. Also well done to George and Izzie on 3rd.

 

A big thanks to Ian Bass for yet again providing a textbook silly seat experience, and a good laugh too!!

 

A big thanks goes out to Pendle District Motor Club and Garstang and Preston Motor Club for organising the event and all the Marshalls for standing out in the not so summery weather all day!!

 

All in all a grand day at the office and only a 2 and a half hour drive home!!
