Current V5 present. Paperwork includes three folders containing previous V5s, a Jaguar Production Record Trace Certificate, a Jaguar Driver's Club certificate for the 2002 XJ National Day Concours d'Elegance, MOT certificates, old tax discs, printed photographs of the vehicle, an Owner's Handbook, a Service passport containing 13 stamps, and various invoices for parts and work.
The vendor has provided the following:
The car has had 2+1 family owners. My father purchased it in May 1982. He did not use it as his daily driver, only for the Jaguar Drivers' Club events and pleasure. I inherited the car in 1995 after the passing of my father. He and I have maintained it well, and it comes with three A4 binders of service history, including the original service book, etc. The car has a bare metal respray in 2000 and has been very well wax oiled - only the rear underside bump apron, under tank panels, and driver's side sill are not original panels. A new section of metal was put into the bottom of both front wings along the sill, but this was small. Some of the more recent works have been stitching replaced on seats and detailed cleaning and renovation to upholstery, and the Heater matrix has been replaced with new parts/matrix, etc. The car is kept in a Carcoon over the winter to keep it as dry as possible. Due to my lack of time, the car has had little use over the last couple of years, and I find it very hard to see it not being used and enjoyed as my father would have wanted.
