Whilst this MGC GT has not been used for several years and requires recommissioning, it is in very reasonable condition. It's vendor has got it running, carried out some work on it and has driven it for about 25 miles. It has a number of important modifications carried out by MG Motorsport of Bovingdon, Herts who are the foremost MGC experts. It has uprated torsion bars, polyurethane suspension bushes, uprated steering rack, rear telescopic dampers, lightened flywheel, uprated radiator, 16 row oil cooler, Lumentition electronic ignition, 6 branch Downton manifold and twin pipe exhaust system. The interior is in excellent condition with Motolita steering wheel and Motorola radio modified for FM. There is a Webasto sunroof. The car has an interesting history - it featured in two articles in Practical Classics in April 1985 and October 1988. It won several concours awards in the 80s and 90s including the prestigious Cynthia Batley Trophy. In 1997 it was the course car for the European leg of the Peking to Paris Rally. The car has a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate and full history of the car is known and all invoices and MOT certificates are available. The car has had 6 owners and the seller has owned it for 21 years.

The vendor points out that the odometer is reading excessively and believes the true mileage to be more like 63,000. The vendor has prepared a note on the odometer reading which is referred to in one of the documents below.
The vendor is happy to be contacted through Mathewsons and to answer any questions.
