The vendor has provided the following:

Ford Capri 3000XL NOT UK REGISTERED. NOVA CERTIFICATE. Purchased in 2021 by myself for private use. The car has sat in outside storage for most of the time I have owned it. Unfortunately, since my purchase, I have gradually discovered some things about it. It is not a genuine 3000XL it is a conversion from a 1600GL. Over the past year, I have discovered, that the engine has been the only upgrade made to the car and currently still has, what are believed to be the 1600 Axle, Gearbox, and what are believed to be the original brakes. It started and ran around 6 weeks ago (September 2024) and the engine appeared fine with no issues, sounds good. The overall condition of the car is fair and the interior is good. This car if kept as a 3000GT is not for the faint-hearted, there are a few costly upgrades to make before registering, so maybe converting back to a 1600 would be a better way to go. Not sure if it might be an ideal starting block for Rally or Banger Racing? Please be aware this is only what I have been able to find out since owning the car due to very little paperwork, hence the low reserve. I would love to have been able to carry out this work and keep the car but unfortunately due to ongoing ill health, it's just too much for me.
