Make: YAMAHA Model: XT550 Registration: SGC 527Y Engine Size (cc): 558 Year of Manufacture: 1983 Date First Registered: 26/01/1996 MOT Expiry Date: 11/05/2010 Current V5: YES Location: PICKERING - 01751 477555
Current V5 present, paperwork includes MOT certificate.
The vendor has provided the following:
I have owned this bike since August 2002.
In Petersfield, I used the bike for the weekend 'Green Laning' and the occasional commute.
It has been SORN for over 10 years
This bike has been kept in a garage at my old house and my garden shed since moving.
I bought the bike from a motorbike workshop in Farlington Portsmouth (now closed)
The Kenny Roberts 'paint job' was applied and I had the forks changed from the original to the current disc fork (Kawasaki KH forks).
When the forks were changed, I fitted the digital odometer fo the mileage is only a guide for the 20 years I have owned the bike.
The bike is a single-cylinder 'kick start' with an automatic 'decompression lever'. With practice, it starts quite easily, you can feel the engine turning over with the kick start and the ignition stroke is gentle; it does now need the rider to stand on the pegs and welly it. The use of the choke is just practice and listening/feeling for the 'start' stroke.
