Current V5 present. Paperwork includes previous V5s, MOT certificates, a printed HPI check, an Owner's Handbook, a Haynes Owners Workshop Manual, previous motor insurance documents, and some invoices for parts and work.
The vendor has provided the following:
Tahiti Blue, matching factory hard top with rear opening windows.
Also included in the sale are a tonneau cover and a hood cover.
Drivern over 100 miles to Auction.
Big folder of history, loads of invoices, and MOT certificates dating back to the first MOT back in 1981! These tie in with current mileage of just over 75,000 so we believe that to be correct also includes a Triumph Spitfire Haynes Manual and an original Triumph Spitfire Owners Manual.
Car is MOT and Tax exempt but just had a new MOT for peace of mind which expires 23/07/2025, doesn't need another after that if desired.
Only 2 issues I am aware of roof had repairs before my ownership, I never bothered replacing as kept indoors and only drove with the roof down but does go up and down no problem. Passenger door doesn't open from the outside resume a cable but never addressed it as can easily reach from the driver's side or reach in as the roof is always down.
Very recently been set up by Peter Burgess with carbs calibrated and new electronic ignition fitted. He compression-tested it before setting it up. The dyno graph in the history file shows the full complement of 72bhp and a super smooth power curve
Just had a complete suspension replacement, all shocks and springs are new including the complete leaf spring and all brushes.
Had an upgraded radiator, new hoses, and rocker cover. Really pretty, nice usable example that gets plenty of attention. Easily keeps up with modern traffic with the factory overdrive gearbox.
Only selling as bought an MGB GT for classic runs and some alto solos, so sadly surplus to requirements.
