This Jaguar Police Special was supplied by Jaguar and purchased by Staffordshire Police for the then Chief Constable.
As a PS it was ordered with a more plush comfort not normally supplied as an everyday police vehicle! It had electric windows, carpet instead of rubber wood door capping, and wood facia.
It remained in plain white for a duration of about 18 to 24 months, it then was transferred to the Force driving school for a short period until it was fully marked up Police Traffic car serving/ patrolling the M6 Motorway until it was demobbed.
The car has been displayed at the NEC, and featured in a documentary along with a Jaguar magazine article.
I have replaced a lot of mechanical parts, including a stainless exhaust system, with a tracer unit fitted tracker. A current MOT to March 2025 and no advisories.
Needs a new owner who can take this only remaining XJ40 to the next level and enjoy it.
