This bike was exported to New Zealand in the mid-1950s and returned to the UK around 2000 (documentation provided). The current owner bought it for his wife in 2005 and then stripped and rebuilt it. It was then stored unused in a dry garage until now because she couldn't get used to riding it. It has been converted to 12-volt electrics. When the bike was first registered in the UK in 2005, by the last previous owner, the speedo read 873 miles. While in the current owner's possession, it has done less than 50 miles. Recently the speedo was reconditioned (by H.Woods) and the mileage reset to zero..
