In a previous series of Restoring Classics we miraculously made money on 2 Raleigh Choppers…well, if you ignore the tax and commission you have to pay at auction!

We quite enjoyed that short lived thrill, and thought we should keep riding the children’s bicycle wave. We clapped eyes on this Raleigh Super Grifter - our next obvious choice. Unsure what exactly we were going to do with it we looked to Derek for advice. He said ‘this just needs a quick fettle, clean it up and put it straight back in the next auction…I’ll do it for £60!’

We’ve learnt by now that if Derek says he’ll do something, we should let him do it. Though his busy schedule obviously meant it was never going to make the next auction. But 2 months later we’re ready to sell.
