Lot details

Make: VOLKSWAGEN
Model: GP MK2 BEACH BUGGY
Registration: QNI1374
Year of Manufacture: 1991
Current V5: NO
Location: PICKERING - 01751 477555

No V5 new owner to apply - paperwork includes registration book.

This vehicle is registered on an Northern Ireland number plate and therefore

The owner of the vehicle has provided the following:

VW Mk2 GP Super Buggy. This Beach Buggy is classed as LWB compared to the SWB Buggy, as it’s built upon a Volkswagen beetle Chassis. It shares the same bolt pattern as a standard VW Beetle and can be built on another chassis. This is a very rare Mk2 GP Beach Buggy - with a standard rear end. Many got shortened and the original uncut bodies like this one are thin on the ground. The GP beach buggy kit for the VW Beetle chassis were of course inspired by the original Meyers Manx, and helped bring the pared-back design to the masses. This fiberglass body is in excellent condition and is worth viewing. The floor pan halves are rusted through and require replacement, new halves can be purchased in the U.K from £100 - a weekend's work as Derek would say! There is no engine with the car but it has the standard gearbox – giving the new buyer the option to put a stock engine into it or maybe something bigger. This Beach Buggy has serious potential. The value of these GP Buggy’s are only going one way, as we’ve seen from previous auctions.
