The vendor has provided the following:
The car was purchased new by a lady in Edinburgh in February 1967 and included a factory fitted steel sliding sunroof and a heated rear window.
I understood that the car had undergone a restoration and in July 2019 I visited the premises of Elder and Paton, a body shop in Perth whose plaque is attached to the glovebox lid. I spoke with the bodyshop manager and showed him pictures of the car and he confirmed that a photographic restoration was carried out sometime in 1995 but that they no longer had any records.
The car was sold in 2013 to the lady’s financial adviser to add to his collection of classic cars. I believe that he also had some restoration work carried out.
The car has been garaged since purchase, the last 2 years being on axle stands to preserve the tyres.
I have carried out a few small jobs since purchase, replacing: -
Distributor cap and lead
Coil
Washer bottle and pump
Flexible fuel pipes in the engine bay
Fuel pump
Fuel filter fitted at the tank end
N/S/R door seal
5 new tyres
Rocker cover gasket
Thermostat and gasket
Radiator cap
Leather interior given a sympathetic restoration
Clutch master and slave cylinders plus piping
Front fog lights (pair)
Electronic ignition module fitted within the distributor
Rear bumper and overriders re-chromium plated
Suspension pumped up to correct height
