Current V5 present. Paperwork includes previous V5s, MOT certificates, a Daytune Restoration Folder containing a letter regarding the restoration work, a certificate of restoration with invoices, and an Owners Handbook.

The vendor has provided the following:

• This has been owned since 1974 and has MOTs
• Complete restoration by Day Tune in 1988 and since covered 660 miles
• Sent to classic car restorations in 2019 and was returned in 2020
• Some of the updates done such as:- b/hoses, carb rebuild, cables, hoses, CV conversion for rota flex (old units supplied), rear shocks, exhaust manifolds, the exhaust system in stainless, front b/discs and pads, clutch and brake master cylinder, tyres, and electronic ignition
• It has also been fitted at some time with high-performance camshafts and is very nippy

You might like to know that the camshafts on the Lotus are not factory standard and Day Tune informed us that high-performance camshafts have been fitted. You will find the engine quite lumpy until warmed up and then it just wants to go. As far as we could research 2 Lotuses were prepared by the Lotus factory for demonstration to the motoring press, a fixed head, and a soft top. The soft top was featured in several magazines (UVF 101H) and refers to a sister car, the hard top. This could explain the camshaft issue.
