Location: THORNTON DALE
1 model garage representing circa 1950's/1960's
The vendor and maker of the model has kindly provided the following: Whitby Motors is a superbly detailed scratch-built creation made to 1/43rd scale on which to display your treasured die-cast models or just to own as pure nostalgia. Depicting the timber construction of so many rural garages of that time, the model features a fully detailed workshop with ramps, bench press; pillar drill, tool-rack and trolley jack: in fact all that you would expect inside a working gargage, even down to small tools and oil and fuel spillages scattered around.
Externally there are two Atlas Dinky pumps - re-modeled as shell globes ones - sitting on the pump island complete with a Redex dispenser, Gerry can, and a galvanised dustbin.
Externally Whitby Motors has all the accumulated junk around that you would expect of that era, well before health & safety became the norm. Scrap engines, oil drums, old tyres, batteries, and rusty exhausts all add to its charm. This model consumed 21 hours of work to complete. Accompanying the unique model is a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. This hand-crafted model is number 34. A future collectible.
