When does a car become a classic?
We are not suggesting the Mondeo ST220 is there yet but logic tells us that all fast Fords will eventually take pride of place in the ultimate collection.
This ST220 is definitely one for the future.
With a hammer price of only £3100 we couldn't resist what was on offer: Just over 60k miles, some service history, black Recaros and most importantly a thumping 3.0 V6 sounding awesome through an after-market exhaust.
The car went to BSmart Autos in Leeds for some special attention and they were gobsmacked how clean and solid our fast Ford was underneath.

New grill
Powder coated alloys
Replacement centre caps
12 months MOT.

The car has enjoyed some spirited driving from a Mr Dave Mathewson where it took on the best of Ford's current hot hatches and performed admirably for an old timer.
It was also equally comfortable on the shopping run for a member of the Bangers production team.
It runs free of warning lights and returned about 33 MPG in regular North Yorkshire driving.
