The vendor has provided the following:

This car was sleeping in my Dads garage for about 40 years when he died, we haven’t been able to find the Log book in the mountain of paperwork so I contacted DVLA and sent them photos and fee they asked for and we got a letter back saying as it was not roadworthy so the new owner would have to apply for the V5 after the rebuild, we have given you the letter from DVLA.
I have since contacted the Cortina MK1 owners club and one of the members has advised it’s a 1963 4dr deluxe. Which will sound better in the description than around 1960.

Welcome to our April Auction!

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

We actively support a number of charitable organisations here at Mathewsons, amongst them being the fantastic 'Yorkshire Air Ambulance' (Charity No 1084305).
The entry fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help these wonderful organisations operate.
 
Each auction throughout the year will witness a collection / donation.
