Current V5 present. Paperwork includes previous V5s, MOT certificates, a Porsche wallet containing a Driver's Handbook, Blaupunkt operating instructions, a Technical specifications booklet, a Guarantee and Maintenance booklet containing 10 stamps, and various invoices for parts and work.

It is a 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S (Silver Rose).

It is a very rare car, as only 70 cars were allocated to the UK in the model year and only 18 are currently registered as being on the road by the DVLA (mine is one of them). I know a number were stripped for racing and I know of two that were exported to Australia in recent years.

I am aware of the MOT history recording mileage relating to 86,000 but I believe the actual mileage to be 186,000. The trip and odometer has a tendency to lock and this might happen again.

It has covered 186,000 miles but the engine was professionally rebuilt at 146,000 miles by Porsche specialists back in 2003 as it was putting out below its 250bhp. It was also reprogrammed to minimise turbo lag and was boosted to 280 bhp.

I have not used the car for the past 8 years and it has been laid up in a specialist secure dry facility. The engine turned over periodically.

It does run and everything seems to be working. It has a current MOT which runs out in March and as it is unlikely that I will drive it again I feel it is now time for someone else to enjoy it.
