The vendor has provided the following:

Andy Joynson for Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics writes: If you want a totally usable Land Rover Series One that someone else has shelled out on - look no further. This has to be one of the very best around.

This restoration of this car will feature in a forthcoming episode of Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics.

This a new chassis-up total rebuild and 1000 plus hours of Nick Mills’ time at Malton-based Boolers 4x4. The list of work done by Land Rover specialist Nick, and therefore the cost goes on and on.

We very clearly misjudged things here with regard to costs and the amount of work involved in getting a Series 1 to this level. It had to be good, not just done, but really good.

We learned some very hard lessons that will appear on the TV in due course, that is clearly the reality of the programme. All this is my problem, and I daresay a few of you will have been there too.

We will be selling it without a reserve, so submit your best bid on the day. Clearly I have a figure in mind that I hope it will achieve, and we will see how near I get to that.

There is no point in doing a list here of all the work done, you look…it has a new chassis - you can guess the rest.

We are very proud of this vehicle, it should go on forever now. I am sure the new owner is going to get a bargain, just let it be a real enthusiast who reads this please.
