Lot 280 - 1971 Triumph TR6 - UUF 66J
The vendor of this 1971 Triumph TR6 is the Bangers & Cash Restoring Classics team. They write:
When this came up at auction back in November 2024 the Restoring Classics team seemed to have done something quite remarkable. We bought something which required, well…not a great deal! In fact Derek said it made absolutely no sense to buy it because there was nothing for us to do. Perhaps it was Derek saying it made no sense which caused us to stick our hand in the air.
We bought the car for £12k and excitedly took it down the road to The Motorist for mechanics Roger and Katie to tell us what a good job we’d done. There’s always a little apprehension when a car heads up on the ‘lift of doom’, but for this one…it was beaming smiles all round.
Roger, who has his own Triumph TR6, took it for a spin down the runway at Leeds East Airport and said it drove brilliantly but could do with a good service and once over. So that’s what we did…
Work included:
This car is an injection model there is no overdrive.
PLEASE NOTE: We take great pride in restoring our cars but they are classics, they will not be immaculate and they will no doubt need ongoing maintenance and repair. We suggest you make your own checks first.
