The vendor of this 1969 Triumph 2000 is the Bangers & Cash Restoring Classics team. They write:
We bought this car in October 2023 for £6,500. It was one of those where Derek said it ‘didn’t need much…doors realigned and perhaps a look at the carpets’. He reckoned we’d have it back for the next auction…tea, biscuits, and profit. We confidently stuck up our hand during the bidding and before you could say ‘this might need more work than you think’ the Triumph was ours.
Though there’s only so much you can see when you don’t look underneath a car prior to buying (although we have now had several years to grasp this simple concept). To have the job done properly we took it up to Willow Triumph near Darlington, for expert Tim to take a look.
As with anything we buy, it needed a little more than first thought. Some might say we got carried away.
Work included (but certainly not limited to)
It now boasts an MOT with no advisories until April 2025.
Please Note: We take great pride in restoring our vehicles but they are classics and will no doubt have imperfections. Please do your own checks before bidding.
