Vendor's comments:

¬Fitted with front disc brakes [Already equipped with ABS Powerbrake.com kit] These are single piston calipers, by GM, and use D159 pads which are very commonly available in the USA [RockAuto can supply cheaply] Typically, from Chevrolet Cavalier{82-91]or 1989 Buick Century 3.3 litre. [£32 delivered!!] ¬Fitted with 1 inch suspension drop at rear.

¬Fitted with electronic distributor [ TPS small cap type], plus 0.7 ohm MSD coil. [Plug gap settled on 45 thou]

¬ Car originally fitted with Ford's own power steering option. Removed and returned to manual steering using Borgeson power-to-manual conversion. {Gives better steering 'feel', as PS was far too light. Also removes big source of oil leaks, which US Ford's PS was prone to, after a while.}

¬Equipped with LED lights, except headlights. ¬BrightLite Customs rear light conversion to comply with UK lighting regulations. Indicators [amber] within the rear light cluster. Brake lights comply with UK regs.

¬Within past few years car has received new water pump, new starter motor, new starter solenoid. Front brake pads, indicator switch, light switch, etc etc. All very cheaply obtained via RockAuto, in the USA. [Car is cheaper to run & maintain , than today's Fords!!]

¬Fitted with radiator overflow bottle [made by Bogg Bros, of East Lutton], as the originals were not so equipped.

¬Wheels are 15 inch UK-supplied alloys, with spacers.

¬Car has been used, sharing daily driving duties, [all through lockdown, & including visits to Mathewsons!!!] with the 200 cu in six cylinder engine being well up to modern traffic usage.

¬ Better fuel consumption [low to mid 20's mpg] than the V8 options.

¬Easier to maintain, as under bonnet access superior to the V8s.

¬Equipped with standard Ford C4 automatic gearbox [3 speed]. Very relaxing to drive, with loads of legroom in front. Great if old & tired of pumping clutch pedals, as the owner is!! ¬Point to note, every single nut, bolt, screw or part is available new, even from UK dealers. As good a parts supply as the Morris Minor , or MGB. [If not better in some instances] . Lead time for parts from RockAuto in the USA has been [in my experience] no more than 4 days, ordering to sitting on front doorstep [Bless Fedex] ...No extra charges to pay.

¬Major UK parts dealer [for Mustangs] now has 6 cylinder-specific items too, as they are becoming popular as an alternative to the more costly V8 Mustangs. ¬A very practical classic alternative car, very usable in today's traffic [goes better than an MGB!!]...very cheap, and simple, to maintain. LHD also not a disadvantage in today's traffic. In my experience!
