Vendor's comments:
Original engine number (2421), Imported from Cape Town South Africa. Very little rust and some underbody protection done with a little remaining. Interior refurbished and oil and temp gauges installed along with a phone charging and USB port in replace of cigar lighter. Hard top in very good condition and soft top also recently had some work to repair a couple of slight tears and also in good condition. I will supply the workshop manual for the 1133 which this is, along with the original parts catalogue. Last MOT was due in September 2019. I've only had the car for around one year (have V5) but don't have a covered garage and lying on wet cobbles is not conducive to my health nor the future health of the vehicle so reluctantly moving on to purchase a ready to use classic for weekend pottering around. New moto lite steering wheel, carpets, alternator, coil, battery, suspension straps, other bits and pieces, brakes very 1964 but are discs all round (I have four brand new discs which I might make available with the car, brake pads, master brake cylinder rebuild kit, pins etc). Lots of new wiring as the old was a mess but still needs a little finishing off. Upgraded from old solid PVC cabling to more modern thin-wall wiring where possible. Has been idling well but only ran it a couple of times since ownership with all the work being done. Holds temp and oil pressure very well, new oil and filter, plugs, air filter, electronic distributor fitted Dash and other items shot blasted and powder coated black. Body work is in very good condition as stated earlier, appears to have been originally a white vehicle but sprayed blue at least twice since manufacture. I believe the head has been skimmed according to invoice from previous owner and I have reset all of the tappets and valve clearances during my ownership. Some things to sort still, fuel gauge has stopped working but was doing so very recently, half a steering shroud still to source basically the car is sold as seen and is a light restoration for completion. Documents from the Renault Owners Club confirm the date of manufacture and originality of the vehicle.
