The vendor has provided the following:
Lotus Elan + 2 S 130. Manufactured 1973.
Delivered from New to Guernsey and has remained in Guernsey and Jersey all its life.
Same owner for the past 25 years.
Guernsey car from new.
Lotus provenance to prove.
Later sold to Jersey and has remained until last year.
No salt on roads so original chassis.
Always garaged as part of the collection since 2000
Complete renovation in 2000 at a cost exceeding £25000 (bills with car) solid drive shafts and aluminum fuel tank.
Paint and gel coat stripped and repainted in Brunswick green metallic. 10000 miles since then.
Borrowed by Ron Hickman the designer of the Elan for a photo shoot for a Japanese car magazine. (Clipping of photo outside Ron's house together with other Elans and a thank you note from Ron to me). 2018 low compression.
The engine was sent for overhaul at Classic and Modern in Bracknell for nearly £5000 (bills included).
Engine fitted by myself but due to ill health stored until 2023 and sent to Classic sports cars for full completion of engine and carbs together with full re-commissioning of suspension, shocks new discs and brake pads new windscreen, horn, overhaul vac system. new fuel pump and tank clean.
Total approx £6000 bills with car.
Less than 50 miles on engine by Classic sports cars.
Interior is cream leather and as new wood dash.
The car is now imported into the UK with V5 in my name and MOT 09.05.24 although MOT and road tax are exempt.
Defects. Minor crazing around boot hinges with 2 other marks on the boot.
1 stone chip on the front wheel arch about the size of a fingertip.
Advisory on MOT that tyres are showing minor cracking.
