The engine was modified by Richard Longman in 1981/82. The specification sheet supplied states it is a 1385cc, it was rolling road tested and set up by Mini Sport in March 2017 and recorded 82.5 bhp, with 76 lbf torque. It would appear to have been built for fast road use using their extensive experience on Mini engine building.

The gearbox has been totally reconditioned using the correct S gear internals and has completed less than 100 miles. Receipts for over £1280 spent are included.
This car is a time warp example and has only covered 650 miles in the last 17 years with only 3 owners in the last 38 years.
It was professionally de-seamed in 1982 by the owner and has not been painted since, the red colour is Fiat Rosso Vivo.
