1952 Jowett Javelin

1952 Jowett Javelin

A proper Yorkshire car produced in Idle, Bradford from 1947 till 1953.

Considered far in advance of its time with its design being on the drawing board during the war. Approximately 23,000 were produced using the water cooled flat 4 OHV 1486 c/c engine.
Despite being a high speed cruiser the jelly mould design was perhaps considered by many as a little too futuristic compared to the more accepted box style of pre-war saloons.
Now exempt MOT and free road tax.
