1958 Land Rover Series 1

1958 Land Rover Series 1

The example we have here is the rare 2 wheel drive Land Rover supplied to the military as staff cars.

There are only 80 of these examples thought to have been built.

Demobbed in 1963 and stored for 30 years until restoration by the present owner.

Original chassis & bulkhead with no repairs.

All bodywork is original and in good condition.

Just some of the new parts are listed here.

  • Braking system
  • Suspension
  • Springs / shock absorbers
  • Tyres
  • Petrol tank

There is a series 2 engine and gearbox fitted at present, but the original engine and gearbox is supplied with the vehicle.

This can easily be rebuilt and added to return the vehicle back to original.

The Land Rover is registered with an age related number plate and is obviously exempt from road tax and MOT testing.

We are open 7 days a week here at Thornton Le Dale for pre-sale viewing, although a quick phone call prior to travelling is advised.

Don't forget. We personally collect FREE of charge around 90% of all our auction vehicles.

So, if you have a vehicle which you would like us to re-home.... just make the call. 01751 474455

Thank you
