**SOLD** 2003 Renault Vel Satis Initiale V6 DCi

Description

2003 Renault Vel Satis Initiale V6 DCi

The vendor has supplied the following information.

The Renault Vel Satis was revealed as a concept car in 1998, at the Paris
Motor Show. The name is a combination of velocity and satisfaction.
It was designed to target 'non-conformist' buyers who wanted to move away
from the traditional saloon when launched in 2002. Car described it as "ugly
and very French."
This model is 3.0 DCi 24 valve V6 cylinder version and is MOT'd till May 2021.
It was the second ever car to receive a five star EuroNCAP safety crash test
rating and perhaps according to Terry Thomas, it has been said that the V6
diesel engine was better suited to the car's "lounge lizard pretensions"
Auto Express said " the 3.0-litre V6 dCi is a stunner, providing speed,
economy and refinement... The Vel Satis is capable enough, but its natural
environment is straight tarmac - the bumpier the better if you want to be
impressed by its smooth ride. The controls are light and easy, too, and the
diesel engines provide effortless motoring... Enormous front seats adjust in
every direction, with the backrest splitting for optimum comfort.... The
diesel versions make the most sense."
Jeff Paterson, senior editor, Glass's GuideLife With A Vel Satis said "The
Vel Satis is a proper French car. It's an expression of style over
sensibility, and one which I am proud to drive."
This is your chance to be a non-conformist, lounge lizard, ugly but possibly
not French owner of a diminishing piece of history - there are only 422 left
on the road.
