The vendor has supplied the following information.

Very rare & attractive 1954 Mi-Val 125 GL, matching engine/frame no's. Restored to an excellent standard over the last few years & in full working order with 280 miles covered since.

Italian engineering company Metalmeccanica Italiana Valtrompia s.p.a. manufacturers of machine tools also produced motorcycles from 1950 to 1967. Headed by director Ettore Minganti a new company was formed with Pier Beretta (of gun making fame), Giuseppe Benelli (Benelli motorcycles), & Guglielmo Albani who provided funding & technical support. The new venture was named Mi-Val an acronym of director Minganti name & Gardone Val Trompia where the factory was based. They produced very well made stylish & reliable motorcycles gaining raceing successs in the 50's winning two Italian offroad championships with star rider Emilio Ostorero, also produced under licence Messerschmitt bubble cars using their own 172cc engine named the Mi-Val Mivalino.
