1959 BSA DBD34 Gold Star Clubman

1959 BSA DBD34 Gold Star Clubman

This bike was fully restored over a period of 2 years from Sept 1994 and has covered less than 6000 miles in the last 25 years. Dry stored for the past 4 years.

  • Engine no DBD 34GS 4661
  • Frame no CB32 8813

The frame no. has no entry in the despatch book but many frames were dispatched as 'frame only'. Records show that frames CB32 8812 and CB32 8814 were also dispatched in September 1959 and so it is assumed that CB32 8813 was manufactured and dispatched at the same time. Frame number stamped on headstock. Age related registration FSV 363 given 11/03/1986. Original reg not known.

The engine retains  the original 500 bottom end with an original crank rebuilt by Philip Pearson. Top end is DB32 head, barrel and Omega piston. The 500 crank is balanced to suit. The correct 10 degree advance pinion 65-696 is fitted to the crank as required to suit the 350 configuration.
