Description

SOLD

1959 Austin A40 Farina

Beautifully finished in duo-tone mid blue, black roof with the most superb original grey upholstery piped in blue. Owned by the registered owner since 2011 this 948cc MK1 comes with its original handbook, badge bar, push button period radio, new quality carpets, wing mirrors etc. Whilst we cannot guarantee the 19,000 miles recorded we find it hard to believe its anything but correct. (Please make your own enquiries) Much favoured by driving schools on its launch in 1958, the saloon also proved a popular replacement for the A35. It continued in production until 1967 eventually giving way to Britain's most popular family saloon the 1100/1300 FWD series. This example will appeal to the most fastidious of purchasers.
