The vendor has provided the following:
Rare retro Avondale Kingfisher 4 berth caravan named Rosie ‘born’ in 1983. We are her second owners from new! She has a lovely face, an elegant shape, and many original features. She always attracts attention! Dry stored and only towed infrequently over the last 10 years.
Original paperwork and last service done in autumn 2023. We were camping with her until the end of 2023, but due to health, we needed a more modern ‘van. Given she is over 40 years old she could be your perfect renovation or if you love camping but now fancy a cosy sofa/bed with a working kitchen then she just needs your personal touch and a few repairs.
ABOUT ROSIE:
- LIGHTWEIGHT - ex works 750kg, max gross weight 900kg
- SIZE = body length- 4.6m (15’1”), overall length 5.74m (18’10”), width 2.16m (7’1”)
- 4 BERTH - front singles or king + single/bunk with safety rail and ladder.
- FULL ORIGINAL KITCHEN - sink unit with hot and cold water, gas hob, grill, and cooker + 3-way fridge (only works on electrics.)
- BATHROOM - porta potty, drop-down sink, and shower (H&C water)
- ORIGINAL CUPBOARDS AND WARDROBE
- ORIGINAL CARPET AND SOFT FURNISHINGS
- GAS FIRE / HEATING - not used for years but has worked - needs attention now.
- The gas bottle in the front locker
- No battery
- Electrics are all modern 3-pin.
- Water - the pipe underneath needs replacing
Rosie is a lovely caravan but remember she is over 40 years old so is showing her age. Prior to buying her in 2007, there was definitely a damp issue that had been repaired, but the back of Rosie is now showing she might need some further attention. I hope someone loves her as much as we have.
